Nothing has been played

No 2026 game has gone final, so all 32 clubs are 0–0 and there is no seeding to show. Seven identical records are not a top seven, and this page is not going to print one and let the order look like a verdict. The season opens Sep 9.
What it will show, from the first result: each conference's 7 seeds in order, who is in on record alone, who can no longer reach the field, and how many clubs are still live for the places that are open.
In the meantime, the predictor will seed a whole season from your own picks, and division standings lists every club in its division.

How the 14 are decided

  1. The four division winners in each conference are seeded 1 to 4 by record. Winning a division outranks any wild-card record.
  2. The three best clubs left in the conference take seeds 5, 6 and 7.
  3. The 1 seed rests through Wild Card weekend. It is the only bye.
  4. Every round before the Super Bowl is hosted by the higher remaining seed, and the bracket reseeds each round — see the bracket.
Ties are not broken on this page. Two clubs level on record are shown level. Separating them takes the league's published procedure — head-to-head, then division record, then common games, then conference record, then strength of victory — and the last steps of it need points scored and points allowed. The full list is on the predictor pages, where it is also run against a pick sheet as far as picks can carry it.
